English-2 12/14/14 What I Know Essay I hate the satisfaction it gives them. The pain that brings them joy. There laugh is the most annoying thing on this planet. The things they do just so they can feel better about themselves. The chaos that they strive on. One year ago in 8th grade I was a spectator of bullying. It wasn’t easy just to watch. 8th grade was then i knew I hated bullying. In my middle school, there was my friend Luis T. who wasn’t the strongest nor the tallest but he was a good friend. Then there was a kid named Jesse who thought he was on top of the world thinking he could do anything he wanted to. I remember that he always made fun of Luis for the most stupidest things, always nagging him sometimes trying to ruin his friends relationships. Everytime i heard his voice i just wanted to backhand slap him right on the face infront of everyone so he would know how it feels like to embarrass others in a crowd. I decided not to because i didn't have to lower my less to a pathetic person like him.Towards the end of the school year things started to heat up between both of them. On the second to last day of school it finally broke out, Jesse started to swing at Luis like a mad man and wouldn't stop until he was on the floor. My cousin Alan starts to move in slowly step by step until finally he jumps in trying to stop Jesse. Jesse starts swinging at my little cousin and thats when i knew i had to intervene. I wanted to hurt im because of the things he was shouting out loud but, i didn’t i just went to Luis and Alan and backed them up. The thought of being a wimp because of not jumping in went through my mind but, i think I did the right thing. The following day people asked me what happened and all the regular questions like who won and was there blood? The first thought that came to my head was how pathetic it was that people cared more of a good show then someone's safety. I ignored the questions and moved on with the rest of my life. All those assemblies about bullying you don’t really pay attention to until your witness of it. 8th grade taught me how to handle a situation without violence. Main point is that bullying plays a big part in our society and it wrong. That why I know I hate bullying.
